After completing dual Master Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and International Management she started her career with Mercedes-Benz where she held multiple senior management positions and became the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in charge of Digitalization and IT for Mercedes-Benz USA in 2002. In 2013, Dr. Fontaine joined Porsche North America as Senior Vice President HR, Culture and Innovation. In January 2018, she joined Benley Motors Ltd. as Member of the Board of Management People, Digitalization & IT.
