Background

Many decision-makers are aware that they need to act, but do not always know what that means specifically. They realize that a “leap” to the next level of sustainability and the corresponding transformation of strategies and business models is indispensable. However, it is sometimes unclear how “fast” and how “strongly“ one needs to change for being successful in the future and how this strategic transformation can be effectively designed and managed.

Your Benefits

You learn state-of-the art strategic thinking and doing on how to systematically link business strategy with socio-ecological sustainability, develop sustainable business models, and manage the transformation.

You discuss use cases of successful sustainability transformation programs and gain insights about success factors and pitfalls, which you can leverage in the development and realization of your own transformation concept.

You get practical recommendations on realigning contemporary strategy methods currently applied, introducing new strategy tools in a meaningful way, and shaping the related management processes in your company.

You exchange experiences with experts and participants facilitated by a cross-chapter case study, which will enable you to identify robust steps for making sustainability transformation happen in your own corporate environment.

You get practical ideas about how to overcome structural and cultural inertia in your company, inspire people to join the transformation journey, and deal with tensions, contradictions and paradoxical decision situations along the way.
